Hardly any Trance festival experienced such a meteoric rise like Ozora did during the past decade: From a familiar gathering of only 700 freaks in 2004 it grew exponentially to one of the most popular open airs of our scene, attracting around 15.000 visitors last year. For sure you know somebody who went there or perhaps you have been there yourself- and so you know that everybody who returned from this festival was really enthusiastic about it!

As you might probably have heard already, Boom moved to another place at the actually same venue this year and this happened due to some good reasons: The new location offers more shade for instance and is much more flat and not as rugged as the previous one, a great advantage for camping. And also the biggest criticism is encountered by the new locality: The long wait in front of the gates.

Attention: We published a wrong date in the printed mushroom magazine version.
Unfortunately we made a mistake in the current issue of mushroom magazine which we want to correct and for which we want to apologize formally herby. The article about Boom festival is headed with the date '18.07. – 26.07.'. This information is wrong. Few lines below the actual article tells about the 'August Full Moon' and of course Boom takes place from 18.08. to 26.08. this year. The confusion made in this way unfortunately not only affects the festival in Portugal but indirectly also other outdoor pleasures. For instance, Antaris takes place in Germany during the falsely announced period of time and of course Boom does not want to enter into any competition with this festival. Not much left to say for us at this moment, just once again: Sorry for our typographic lapse!

'Unfortunately some guests mistake the festival venue for a dump and we have to dispose fridges and sofas for instance. Also all those cigarette butts and bottle caps being thrown away carelessly are really horrible, and there are thousands of them. All of this takes a lot of time. Additionally, we have to close all the holes, often hundreds of them, which were used as rubbish bins or private toilets by visitors. Unfortunately this also affects the entry fee.'

'Manch einer behauptet, die Festivalveranstalter würden unglaublich viel Geld verdienen. Aber diese Leute machen es sich zu einfach: Sie rechnen die Anzahl der Besucher mal den Eintrittspreis und denken dann, die Veranstalter würden Millionen machen. In Wahrheit jedoch geben diese auch enorme Summen aus: Um die Boom auf die Beine zu stellen, brauchen wir zum Beispiel mindestens 3,5 – 4 Millionen Euro!
